Everything was as usual, KHL players cannot play physical hockey. However, I’ve never seen anything like this before in games between national teams. The first period seemed like a WJC game to me: Canadians were fast and physical, Russians were slow and afraid.

Pavel, I agree that Nabby played like garabage! But honestly, Bryzgalov has been the better goalie in the NHL (a good goalie on a bad team, where as Nabby is a good goalie on a great team!). Breez has stolen so many games for pheonix and won a world championship for Bykov, so it’s hard to understand why Bykov didn’t trust him to start?
Boyle should have been given a match penalty for the slue foot at the end. Especially after the hit was clean, that was a very dirty and unsportsmanlike play especially @ 7-3.
