Team Jagr triumph in the KHL All-Star Game

Team Jagr won the KHL All-Star game in Minsk with a 11-8 score, repeating last year's victory in the Red Square. The match was played in front of more than 15,000 spectators, including Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier.

Sergei Zubov, Andrei Mezin and Alexei Yashin have been named Team Yashin's players of the game, while for Team Jagr the honors went to Karri Ramo, Marcel Hossa and Ville Peltonen.

Fedorov, Babchuk, Kalinin, Simon added to All-Star Game roster

Sergei Fedorov, Anton Babchuk, Dmitri Kalinin, Chris Simon and others were added to the All-Star game roster today as KHL journalists decided the teams' second lines.

The All-Star Game will be played in Minsk, Belarus, on January 30th and it will be a challenge between Team Yashin (Russian Stars) and Team Jagr (International Stars).

The second lines look like that:

KHL All Star Game's starting lineup announced

The starting lineup for KHL All Star Game has been announced today as the fan voting has been closed today.

The most voted player has been Kevin Dallman of Barys Astana, with 114,957 votes. Dallman will play for Team Jagr, the International Stars team that will face Team Yashin, Russian Stars.

The second most voted player was Team Jagr's Sandis Ozolinsh, with 113,167 votes, while Alexei Morozov has been Team Yashin's fan favorite, with 105,433 fans' selections.

KHL launches All-Star Game web site and opens fan voting

KHL announced an opening of the All-Star Game website, also available in English, where fans can select the starting lineups.

The Press Release:

The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) today launched www.khlallstar.ru, the official Web site for the 2010 KHL All-Star Game. This new site, available in English by clicking on “English” above the main KHL All-Star Game logo on the front page, features all relevant news and information for the League’s second All-Star Game, scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2010, in Minsk, Belarus.

Visitors to the site will find a wide variety of content, including news and ticket details, schedule information on the planned hockey festival that will be held in conjunction with the KHL All-Star Game, a countdown clock to face-off time and a photo gallery of last year’s game. More information will be added regularly in the coming weeks, as well.

Simultaneously with the launch of KHL All-Star Game Web site, the KHL kicked off fan voting to determine the starting lineups, including two goalkeepers, for each team that will participate in what is sure to be a thrilling confrontation on the ice of the new Minsk Arena.
